Gonna take on the world some day!

Harry is now a preschool graduate. Abra Alum, as they say. While the Munchkins walked down the aisle to Linus and Lucy, the big proud Genies donned their cardboard caps and walked in to Pomp and Circumstance. I didn't even cry. they were so happy, so proud, and so ready to move on to kindergarten. They are a great bunch of kids, and they are no longer babies. Harry even brushed his own hair for the event...he's never done that before. It looked great! They sang more versus of This Land Is Your Land than I even knew existed, and were brimming with confidence when they sang out "Everybody Now!" The Genie boys followed that up with We Will Rock You. In my opinion, it was pretty awful. They tried to clap, stomp, sing, play (cardboard) guitar...it was super cute, but I think they should all focus on their education!

I will leave this space for Kevin to post an appropriate group photo :-)

I saw the movie.

So yesterday I was awoken by Harry calling "Mommy" for about 15 minutes. No, nothing was broken...well, except one of those little static snowmen that stick to windows. "Look what Mater did?" he says, showing me the pieces in his hand. Yup, Mater did it. Very adament that he did not. I didn't have an invisible friend, so I am still not sure about this whole thing. I did see a ghost when I was 4 though. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Kevin handled this much better. He said we needed to talk to Mater's parents and asked how we could talk to them. Harry's quick response: through the cross talk on the walkie talkies. To quote my husband, WTF! How'd he come up with that so quickly! And why???? I know he didn't see the movie! And I know there is a tombstone down the street with "Matter" on it. And I read that Jodi Picoult book where the little girl mispronounces "God." Again, WTF????
Today I felt a little better when I saw him pealing stickers off of his door. I am sure if I hadn't been there he may have blamed Mater. I'm still stuck on the cross-talk though!
