WOO HOO!!!

It's official! Harry will be a preschooler in the fall! He got his first choice school (okay, we got our first choice school). He's been waitlisted for 2 years and I was just about to put a deposit on Sage and Aisha's school (which is also very good, but not 1.5 miles away). This school offers a play-based curriculum, which is totally Harry. They also play outside as much as they can and have a great play yard that includes water activities. Independent thinking is encouraged and planning and re-planning is emphasized (I know, we tried it with Bailey. Maybe this time will work better). They also get catered lunches. And NO religious schooling.
This has been a huge weight off of my shoulders. There are lots of colleges out there, but not that many preschools. You need to be on some waitlists before kids are born...speaking of kids being born, now that I don't have preschool to worry about, I need to focus on making sure Menike will have room for an infant when the time comes....Julia will turn 1 this summer, but Sage's sibling is due by then....what to do, what to do....
You laugh, but this is serious. I get at least one call a week from friends, friends of friends, even strangers about childcare. The perfect situation is hard to find.
