It's been a big few weeks
So I meant to post this a while back, but now that Harry's been going strong, I think we can assure it's official.
As you may have read a while back, Harrys' a very deep sleeper... VERY deep. So deep that nature's calls hadn't even been getting through. The pediatrician assured us that he'd eventually grow out of it, and guess what... he did.
Ainsley's been way ahead of the game in terms of potty-training, and also recently made the switch over from pull-ups to just PJs for bedtime, and not to be outdone, Harry quickly followed on his own accord... he just kind of decided one night, that he didn't need one, and has been sleeping soundly (still) ever since.
He's also finally been convinced to begin reading the Harry Potter series, much to Kim's delight (putting it very mildly). We talked about it a bit at dinner last night, easily making the relative comparison (in terms of 'scary' factor) that it's on par with all of the Star Wars movies he's seen, and also that his good buddy ol' pal Miles has been reading them for a while now.
So for his daily reading for school, he kicked into Kim's orginal copy of The Sorcerer's Stone. Typically he's only required to read for 10 minutes a night, but apparently refused to stop. The deal was, Harry reads some for his homework, and then we'd continue that evening for his bedtime story.
This is where it got even better... he was so wrapped up in reading it himself, that even though I got through a bunch of it, he moved the bookmark back to where he finished reading, so he could read it all himself!
I love that kid.
