Forgot to mention...

1st grade doesn't have Honor Roll, but apparently they do have Shining Stars. A newsletter came home last week, and Harry is one of a handful of Shining Stars in his class. Most of the kids we know made the list. Very proud of all of them. They are good kids!

"Snow" Day

Harry was shocked by the number of hours I worked yesterday while everyone was home. "But you're always at the bus stop!"

Rough Day Today

I don't like those.
End result was Harry reading his first chapter book though: The Book Report from the Black Lagoon. He followed it up with The Story of Robin Hood. Over 60 minutes today, which earned him a trip to Chuck E. Cheese and the return of his DSi...and I think jumped his readings kills to the next level. I didn't sit with him for Robin Hood, and I followed along completely. Very proud of him. After that, he drew a picture of the solar system for memory. Maybe I should get "fed up" more often!
