The Sweetest Thing

Harry is very much enjoying kindergarten. He is excited by everything he is learning. I like to hang out at the bus stop with him, where he gives me lots of hugs (especially now that the mornings are colder!). He's very loveable!

Name Game

So my little dude is now going by Harry. He preferred Harriosn in preschool, but now that there is another Harrison in kindergarten, he doesn't want to confuse anyone. I admit, it did mak eit easier to figure out which of the little yarn haired blond faces on the bulletin board was him...

Our Gang

Headed by coach Jim (a.k.a. "Ben's Dad") the little boys of the neighborhood held a scrimmage. 3 on 3. 4 Ks (Keane was visiting) and 2 2nd graders. Coinicidentally, 2 Harrisons. We even had fans...Mr. McKaye sitting on his walker cheering, Nickolas on his bike,...Ainsley doing spirit fingers. We even have two 1st graders in the neighborhood. All boys. It's very cool! Last week they hung out in the parking lot riding bikes. The other parents fully intend to maintain these budding friendships!

Little Things

Today was Harry's first official day of kindergarten. He couldn't have been happier. He was VERY excited...but not in a crazy way. He was relatively calm and very collected! He was very sweet and just loved everything...his outfit (shorts and a polo shirt, just like every other boy in America!), his new backpack, his water bottle...he loved his new Simple sneaks....they are recycled. He's heard what they are recycled from, but today he told me they are made from frogs.
Before I came downstairs (I scheduled first shower, because I don't like
to/the kids don't like me to leave them once they see me) I overheard Harry
on the monitor:
Can you please tue my shoes for me, Daddy? (sweetest voice ever).
Double knot them so no one will have to tie them later. (He remembered my
suggestion from the day before).

I'm glad he is such a smart, happy, well adjusted kid! And so well dimpled! I can't wait to hear about his day!!!
